George was born in 1852 in Worlaby.1  George's father was Robert Richardson and his mother was Fanny (Frances) Dixon.  His paternal grandparents were William Richardson and Sarah; his maternal grandparents were John Dixon and Anne. He had a brother and three sisters, named Charles, Mary, Sarah and <Unknown>.
