Francis Potter

Francis was born in 1841 in Holme next the sea and his baptism took place on April 4th, 1841 in Holme next the sea St Marys conducted by Curate Geo: Hogge.¹

Francis' father was John Potter and his mother was Ann Calaby.  His paternal grandparents were Willm. Potter and Alice Thacker; his maternal grandparents were John Callaby and Ann Holmes. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, Charles, Mary, Alice, Elizabeth, Jane, Ann and Susan.  He was the youngest of the nine children.
