Jane was born in 1858 in Shoreditch, Middlesex.1  Jane's father was Henry Morgan Jenkins and her mother was Catherine Sarah Perry.  Her paternal grandparents were John (James) Jenkins and Jane Morgan; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Perry and Catherine Moore. She had three brothers and two sisters, named David, Henry, William, Catherine and Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the six children.




Jane's family

Jane and Frederick were married.  They had a son and a daughter, named Henry and Jean.
