Helen was born on September 19th, 1908. Helen's father was David Jenkins and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Ann Eastwood.  Her paternal grandparents were David Jenkins and Frances (Fanny) Sarah Wood; her maternal grandparents were John Edward Eastwood and Anne Horley. She had three brothers named Francis, John and (Bill).  She was the second youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 71 in 1979.
