George was born in 1861 in Cowley.1   George's father was Adrian Hare and his mother was Louisa Kedge.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Kedge and Sophia Parham. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, William, Henry, Albert, Adrian, Fanny and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 2 in 1863 in Cowley.
