Fanny was born in 1811 and her baptism took place on December 1st, 1811 in Seend.1  Fanny's father was Silas Gibson and her mother was Sarah.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Gibson and Frances Norman. She had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Thomas, Jane and Mary.  She was the youngest of the five children.
