Matthew Dodgson

Matthew was born on March 5th, 1795 and his baptism took place on May 3rd, 1807.  Matthew's father was Matthew Dodgson (of Shadwell & Tadcaster) and his mother was Eleanor Thompson.  His paternal grandparents were Mathew Dodgson and Mary Smith; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Thompson and Sarah Ann. He had a brother and three sisters, named Joseph, Mary, Ann and Hannah.  He was the youngest of the five children.
