Marie was born in 1590 and her baptism took place on September 27th, 1590 in North Nibley, Gloucester.1  Marie's father was Robert Darney and her mother was Elinor (Elene Eline Helene) Durswell. She had a brother and three sisters, named Thomas, Elisabethe, Johane and Catherine.  She was the third oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Arthur, Sarah and Rebecca.
