Jane was born in 1640 and her baptism took place on March 8th, 1640 in North Nibley, Gloucester.1  Jane's father was Arthur Curnock and her mother was Mary ? Legge.  Her paternal grandparents were Arthur Curnocke and Elinor (Elene Eline Helene) Durswell. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Arthur, John, Thomas, Samuel, Robert, Mary, Joane and Elizabeth.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.
