Annie ?Ann's father was Nehemiah Curnock and her mother was Mary Whereat. Her paternal grandparents were Dennis Curnock and Ann Edgley Hopkins; her maternal grandfather was Joseph Whereat and her maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Nehemiah, Willie, Sara and Mary. She was the second youngest of the five children.
