John Clarke 
John was born about 1854 in Northwold, Norfolk.1 John's father was Henry Clarke and his mother was Elizabeth Gibson. His paternal grandparents were John Clarke and Hannah Flatt; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Gibson and Elizabeth Bray. He had a brother and four sisters, named James, Sarah, Ann, Rebecca and Martha. He was the youngest of the six children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Henry, William, Robert, Rebecca, Rebecca and Sarah.-
