Mary and
John were married in a religious ceremony on August 16th, 1863 in
Upper Norwood.

- John Letts met his wife when they were neighbours to each other. They are shown on the 1861 Census immediately next to each other - The 18 year old John is living with the Rawlins Family, Mary Ann Birch with her widowed mother, and I believe a sister to John, Mary Birch living with the Hamblington family.
