George James Bellman

George was born on September 16th, 1835 and his baptism took place on October 5th, 1835 in Saint Anne Soho, Westminster.¹   George's father was Charles Bellman and his mother was Elizabeth. He had four brothers and a sister, named Charles, Frederick, John, Henry and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the six children.
