Arthur , known as Paul, was born on April 11th, 1909 in Canning Town, West Ham.¹

Paul's father was Thomas William Beaven and his mother was Jane Jenkins. His paternal grandparents were Job Beaven and Emma Bedora Gibson; his maternal grandparents were David Jenkins and Frances (Fanny) Sarah Wood. He had a brother named Ted. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 80 on April 12th, 1989.
