Mathew was born about 1725 and his baptism took place on August 15th, 1725 in Uley, Glos..1  Mathew's father was John Baglin and his mother was Mary Peglar.  His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Baglan and Sarah Stone; his maternal grandparents were John Pegler and Hannah Hicks. He had three brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas, Danuell and Amelia.
