John was born in 1724 and his baptism took place on May 27th, 1724 in Uley, Glos..1  John's father was John Baglin and his mother was Mary Peglar.  His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Baglan and Sarah Stone; his maternal grandparents were John Pegler and Hannah Hicks. He had three brothers and a sister, named Mathew, Thomas, Danuell and Amelia.  He was the oldest of the five children.
