Lisa was born on July 30th, 1855.  Lisa's father was Baste Larsson Kalhovda and her mother was Nilla Steffensdatter Elvik.  Her paternal grandparents were Lars Larson Hopsøyr and Marta Gullaksdatter Fosse-Kalhovda; her maternal grandparents were Steffen Johannesson and Ingeborg Nilsdatter Elvik. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Steffen, Isak  Andreas, Marta and Ingeborg Bertina.  She was the third oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 63 on July 23rd, 1919.
