Rasmus was born in August 1820.  Rasmus' father was Kristoffer Person Frøyen and his mother was Synnøve Martinsdatter Frøyen.  His paternal grandparents were Per(Peder) Larson Frøyen and Randi Kristoffersd. Hyen Frøyen; his maternal grandparents were Martines Larson Oppigard and Marie Olavsdatter Nesje.  He was an only child.  He died of an unknown cause at the age of 88 on January 5th, 1909.
