Charles Norwood

Charles' father is Henry Norwood and his mother was Elizabeth “nee Rodney” Fisher. His maternal grandparents were George Rodney and Elizabeth KIRTON. He had a brother and a sister, named Henry and Jane. He had six half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, James, Seymour, Maurice, Theodore, Posthumous and Frances. Charles is no longer alive.

- CHARLES NORWOOD - (b. late 1612 or 1613 (ref.: "Magna Carta Ancestry", ibid, Douglas Richardson, p.512 and <http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Flats/1712/ Henry17.hlml>) Eldest son of Henry Norwood and his wife, Elizabeth (nee Rodney). He became the Clerk of the Assembly of the Colony of Virginia, British North America, 1654 - 1656, and later served under his brother in Tangier. In 1681, when he must have been aged close to 69, he held a post in Ireland, and survived his younger brother. He is also mentioned by name in both his father's will, (ibid, Prob 11/ 128), and in the will of his younger brother.
