    Nov. 27. Grant of pavage for three years to William Gosselyn and John Westminster. Coulynche of Arnyngton for repairing the king's highway there. Nov. 24. Appointment of John de Kirketon of London, Gilbert Mawefeld of Westminster. London, John Rocheford, Robert Waleys of Ipswich, Hugh Holond of Norwich, John de Brandon of Lenn and Peter Garnon of Boston, upon the petition in the present Parliament of divers lieges, merchants of England, complaining of the unjust arrest and detention in Prussia, by merchants of that country, of their goods and merchandise to the value of 20,000?. to arrest in the port of London and all ports [thence] as far as Boston, inclusive, all Prussian merchants' goods found therein from time to time until due restitution be made or further order, and to examine and certify how mayors, bailiffs, constables and collectors of customs in those ports have executed the king's mandates directed to them to effect such arrest. The like appointment of Thomas Howome, William de Burton, Robert Warde, William Leuesham of York, John Arnald, Richard Gate of Hull, Robert Oliver and Thomas Hnryngton of Newcastle-upon-Tyne to arrest such goods found in the port of Boston and all ports [thence] as far as Newcastle-upon-Tyne, inclusive.
    
    
    1386 Oct. 10. Licence, for 10 marks paid to the king by William Bateman and Westminster. Nicholas Westirdale to alienate their manor of Beston, co. Bedford, extended at 81. a year, as found by inquisition of Alan de Kirketon, escheator there, to the abbot and convent of Warden, in perpetuity, in exchange for the granges of Ravenesholt and Burdon, co.     Oct. 26. Appointment of Thomas Sayvill, the king's serjeant-at-arms, to put
    Westminster. Master Thomas de Kirketon, who has been elected provost of Oriell
    College, Oxford, and therein confirmed by John, bishop of Lincoln, visitor
    of the college, into possession of the same and of its rents, profits and
    revenues, notwithstanding other letters of the king directed to Master
    John Landerayn and others for governing the college for a certain time,
    now revoked; with power to arrest and bring contrariants before the
    king and council.

    Jan. 4. Revocation directed to John Partryk, bachelor in theology, John
    Westminster. Huntman, Thomas Lentwardyn, students in theology (in sacra payina),
    John Maldon, Nicholas Blisseworth and Ralph Birkynsyde, the masters
    in arts, fellows and scholars of Oriell college, Oxford, of letters patent
    commanding obedience to Thomas de Kirketon, elected and confirmed
    provost and inducted into corporal possession of the college, he having
    renounced oefore Thomas, bishop of Ely, the chancellor of the king,
    all right therein.

    Feb. 7. Licence for the alienation in mortmain by Edmund Mareschall of
    Westminster, two messuages, by Richard Albon of one messuage and by William
    Haddon of one messuage, all in Dunstaple, and together of the yearly
    value of 40*. 8d. as found by inquisition of Alan de Kirketon, escheator
    in the county of Bedford, to the prior and convent of Dunstaple, in
    full satisfaction of a licence granted to them by Edward II to acquire
    lands and rents of the yearly value of 10Z. By fine of 40s.

    Westminster, to restore the temporalities of St. Mary's, Chetewode, to Richard Langton,
