    And being so seised, by indenture dated 01 Apr [1613] , 11 James 1st, made between the said Earl of the one part, and Sir Alexander Tutt, knight, Sir Gilbert Prynne, knight, Richard Wheler, esquire, Nicholas Hyde, esquire, Jacob Kyrton, esquire, Edmund Pyke the elder, gentleman, and John Kent, gentleman, of the other part, the said Earl covenanted to levy a fine concerning the premises to the uses following, viz.: to the use of the said Earl for life, then to the other parties to the said indenture, for the life of William Seymour grandson of the said Earl, then to the heirs male of the said William, then to Edward Seymour, brother of the said William and his heirs male, then to the said Francis Seymour and his heirs male, then to the right heirs of the said Edward Seymour; and in Easter term, 11 James 1st [1613] , a fine was levied according to the uses abovesaid.
