    COMMENT by J.K. : William Buk, above, (usually spelt Buck) was John Kirton's sister Margaret's first husband, so John's brother-in-law. I would assume that Margaret Kirton was William Buk's second wife, and that Matthew Buk was William Buk's son and heir by his first wife. This may have been to give William Buk's widow, Margaret (nee Kirton) a place and funds with which to live in dower while she was a widow, and before she subsequently re-married.
