James KEARTON (Calne)

James was born in 1807. James' father was Joseph KEARTON and his mother was Lydia Bond. He had three sisters named Mary, Lydia and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the four children.

  Joseph Kearton, born about 1788, married Lydia BOND, by banns, on Sunday the 7th of December 1806 in St. Mary's Church, Calne, he signed she marked, both of the parish of Calne. The witnesses were George ???, ??? Harris and John Savory. The first child was James born Wednesday the 1st of April 1807, then Mary on Tuesday the 10th of March 1807, Lydia born 31 December 1813 and Elizabeth born in 1817. In the 1841 census taken on the night of 6th of June, living 'near the Hall' at Bolings Lane in Calne were Joseph Kirton age 50 a mason's labourer, Kitty Kirton age 60 and John Sage, grandson, age 6
