  • Sir John Rodney, Knt. (b. 1471, d. 20 Aug.,1527) & his wife, Anne Crofts, dau. of Sir James Crofts, Knt., had a second son:-
    
    George Rodney, (Lord of the Manors of Over-Badgworth & Congresbury) (d.1586) married Elizabeth Kirton of Cheddar (who was the daughter of Thomas Kirton, of Wiltshire & Somerset; this Thomas Kirton was the only son of Richard(1) Kirton, third son of Stephen Kirton of Wooton, co. Wilts. (Visitation of London 1568).
