Anna Elizabeth was born on September 8th, 1878 and her baptism took place on October 6th, 1878.1   Anna Elizabeth's father was Frederik Christoffel Sebastian Rootman and her mother was Cornelia Frederika Zietsman.  Her paternal grandparents were Johannes Marthinus Rootman and Anna Helena Prinsloo. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Marthinus Johannes, Bernardus Ryks, <Unknown>, Dorothea Johanna, Cornelia Frederika and Elizabeth Margeurita.  She died at the age of 87 on July 31st, 1966.  She was buried in Humansdorp.1
