Esther was born on February 26th, 1888 in Tulbagh, Cape Of Good Hope, South Africa.1   Esther's father was Pieter Charles Piers Winterbach and her mother is Elizabeth Wilhelmina Smit.  Her paternal grandparents were Pieter Johannes Winterbach and Maria Magdalena Frederika Rossouw. She had a brother and a sister, named Pieter and Maria.  She was the oldest of the three children.  Esther is no longer alive.
