Niko was born in 1887.  Niko's father was Stjepan Farszky and his mother was Adela Potz (Farszky).  His maternal grandparents were Johann Janko Potz and Ana Karlić. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Ivo, Vlado, Viktor, Marijan, Veljko, Živka, Štefka, Anka, Romana, Marija and Tekla.  He died at the age of 31 in 1918.
