Ankica was born in 1889.  Ankica's father was Antun Bišćan and her mother was Alojzija Šmidhen (Bišćan).  Her maternal grandparents were Ljudevit Šmidhen and Jelisava Šmidhen. She had four brothers and a sister, named Ignac, Milan, Antun, Franjo and Betika.  She died at the age of 65 in 1954.
