Norman Maurice's father was William James TOBIAS and his mother was Elizabeth HORKINGS. His paternal grandparents were Seth George TOBIAS and Ann ORRISS; his maternal grandparents are William HORKINGS and Eliza JOHNSTON. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Francis Reginald, William Robert, Leonard George, Alice May and Ivy Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 78 on November 24th, 1975 in Elsternwick.¹
