Eric was born in 1913 in Fitzroy South.

Eric's father was Albert TOBIAS and his mother was Alvinia TOMLINSON. His paternal grandparents were George Henry TOBIAS and Jane FLETCHER; his maternal grandparents were Joseph TOMLINSON and Martha RANDALL. He was an only child. He died at the age of 36 in 1949 in Fitzroy.¹
