Lillian Florence May was born in 1899 in Katandra, Victoria.1  Lillian Florence May's father was John Thomas CLUGSTON and her mother was Helena Victoria BURGIN.  Her paternal grandparents were Andrew CLUGSTON and Ellen CHURCH; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Henry BURGIN and Mary Ann BLOOMFIELD. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named John Thomas, Andrew William, Mary Jane, Frances Ellen, Agnes, Rose Eleanor, Margaret Alice, Violet Christina and Alice Eleanor.  She was the fourth oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 68 in 1967 in Fitzroy.2
