William Henry Stewart

William was born on October 4th, 1833 in Sydney, NSW.¹ William's father was John Stewart and his mother was Lydia Bates. His paternal grandparents were Robert Stewart and Mary Bowman; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Bates and Ann Griffin. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Robert, Nathaniel, Joseph, George, Charles, Mary and Lynda. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 65 on August 23rd, 1899 in Balmain North, NSW.¹

General Notes
- William married Frances PALMER on the 18th July 1859 in Sydney NSW. Frances was the daughter of Richard PALMER and Frances GUTSELL (1840 to 8-Jul-1908) - They had 9 children, 5 girls and 4 boys.
