Mary Ann Stewart

Mary was born on February 7th, 1826 in Sussex Street, Sydney, NSW.¹ Mary's father was John Stewart and her mother was Lydia Bates. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Stewart and Mary Bowman; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Bates and Ann Griffin. She had eight brothers and a sister, named John, James, William, Robert, Nathaniel, Joseph, George, Charles and Lynda. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 29 on September 12th, 1855 in Sydney, NSW. She was buried in 1855 in Camperdown Cemetery St Stephens, Church St, Newtown NSW.¹
