John Thomas Stewart

John was born on April 8th, 1828 in Sydney, NSW and his baptism took place on May 4th, 1828 in St Philips (CofE) Church, Sydney, NSW.¹

- NSW Birth Cert Nos V18288549 1C/1828 & V1828156 12/1828 states that John T STEWART was born in 1828. His father was John STEWART and his mother was Lidia STEWART (nee BATES).

John's father was John Stewart and his mother was Lydia Bates. His paternal grandparents were Robert Stewart and Mary Bowman; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Bates and Ann Griffin. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named James, William, Robert, Nathaniel, Joseph, George, Charles, Mary and Lynda. He was the second oldest of the ten children.²

Death Notes
- NSW Death Cert No. V1830383 14/1830 states that an Infant, John STEWART died in 1830. No parents names were listed. (Could this be John Thomas STEWART whose parents were John STEWART and Lynda STEWART (nee Bates)?
