Charles Richard Australia Stewart

Charles was born on April 7th, 1845 in Sydney, NSW and his baptism took place on June 29th, 1845 in St Philips (CofE) Church, Sydney, NSW.¹

- NSW Birth Cert No. V1845398 30A/1845 states that Charles R A STEWART was born in 1845. His father was John STEWART and his mother was Lidia STEWART (nee BATES).

Charles' father was John Stewart and his mother was Lydia Bates. His paternal grandparents were Robert Stewart and Mary Bowman; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Bates and Ann Griffin. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named John, James, William, Robert, Nathaniel, Joseph, George, Mary and Lynda. He was the second youngest of the ten children. He died at 2 months old on July 4th, 1845 in Sydney, NSW. He was buried in July 1843 in Devonshire Street (Central) Cemetery, Sydney NSW.²¹
