George Stacey

George was born on December 5th, 1863 in off Whale St, Randwick, NSW delivered by Present at his birth were E Lander and Mrs Tilley.¹

George's father was John Stacey and his mother was Mary Ann Brophy. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Stacey and Mary Ann Saunders; his maternal grandparents were John Brophy and Mary Cushey. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Alfred, Charles, John, William, Mary, Sarah, Emma and Ada. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 83 on April 1st, 1947 in Petersham, NSW. He was buried on April 2nd, 1947 in Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park, Botany, NSW.
