Alfred (Snow) Ernest Sammon

Alfred, known as Snow, was born in 1889 in Young, NSW.¹

Birth Notes
- NSW Birth Cert No. 36691/1889 states that Alfred E SAMMON was born in 1889 in Young. His father was Henry J SAMMON and his mother was Annie M SAMMON (nee Clayton).

Snow's father was Henry John Sammon and his mother was Annie Marie Clayton. His maternal grandparents were George Clayton and Sarah Bates. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Henry, Nat, James, George, Lily or Lillie, Sarah, Florence, Sarah, Ethel and Ada. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died due to Short, painful illness at the age of 26 on February 12th, 1915 in Prince Alfred Hospital, Newtown, NSW. The funeral took place on February 15th, 1915 in 34 Australia Street, Newtown, NSW and was arranged by Wood, Coffil and Company Ltd. He was buried on February 15th, 1915 in Rookwood CofE Cemetery, NSW.²³
