Reginald's father was James Charles Pratt and his mother was Julia Goodall Brennan. His paternal grandparents were Reginald Pratt and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Peter Brennan and Elizabeth Allmon. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Percy, Arthur, Walter, Hubert, Stella and Hilda. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 6 on November 3rd, 1876 in Sydney, NSW. He was buried in November 1876 in Camperdown Cemetery St Stephens, Church St, Newtown NSW.²¹
