Sarah Ann Matterson

Sarah was born in 1864 in Redfern, NSW.¹

Birth Notes
- NSW Birth Cert No. 3202/1864 states that, in 1864, Sarah A MATTERSON was born in Redfern. Her Father's name was Thomas N MATTERSON and her mother's name was Elizabeth MATTERSON (nee Clayton).

Sarah's father was Thomas Neales C Matterson and her mother was Elizabeth Clayton. Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Clayton and Elizabeth Allmon. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Charles, Joseph, George, Anna, Julia and Harriet. She was the third youngest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named John and Mary. She died at the age of 81 in 1945 in Hurstville, NSW.¹

- NSW Death Cert No. 25050/1945 states that, in 1945, Sarah Ann MATTERSON (nee Matterson) died in the Hurstville district. Her father's name was Thomas Neales MATTERSON and her mother's name was Elizabeth MATTERSON (nee Clayton).
