Elizabeth (Anna) Hanna Clayton Matterson

Elizabeth, known as Anna, was born in 1854 in Sydney, NSW.¹

- NSW Birth Cert No. V1854158 40/1854 states that, in 1854, Elizabeth C MATTERSON was born. Her father's name was Thomas N MATTERSON and her mother's name was Elizabeth MATTERSON (nee Clayton).

Anna's father was Thomas Neales C Matterson and her mother was Elizabeth Clayton. Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Clayton and Elizabeth Allmon. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Charles, Joseph, George, Julia, Sarah and Harriet. She was the oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named John and Mary. She died at the age of 86 in 1940 in Richmond, NSW.¹
