Charles Henry Matterson

Birth Notes
- NSW Birth Cert No.1749/1858 states that, in 1858, Charles H MATTERSON was born in Sydney. His father's name was Thomas N MATTERSON and his mother's name was Elizabeth MATTERSON (nee Clayton).

Charles' father was Thomas Neales C Matterson and his mother was Elizabeth Clayton. His maternal grandparents were Joseph Clayton and Elizabeth Allmon. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Joseph, George, Anna, Julia, Sarah and Harriet. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named John and Mary. He died at the age of 88 in 1946 in Gosford district, NSW.¹

- NSW Death Cert No. 9445/1946 states that in 1946, Charles Henry MATTERSON died in the Gosford area. His father's name was Thomas Neales MATTERSON and his Mother's name was Elizabeth MATTERSON (nee Clayton).

- NSW Marriage Cert no. 4253/1877 states that, in 1877, Charles Henry MATTERSON married Elizabeth SAVILLE in the Richmond River district.
