Flora was born on January 7th, 1895 in Hurstville, NSW and her baptism took place on February 17th, 1895 in St Peters Anglican Church, Cooks River Road, St Peters, NSW conducted by minister E. Madgwick.1   Flora's father was George William King Leeder and her mother was Elizabeth Mary Burch.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas King Leeder and Sarah Elizabeth McDonald. She had a brother named Sydney.  She was the younger of the two children.
