Sarah was born in 1820 and her christening took place on September 10th, 1820 in St Giles Anglican Church, Camberwell, Surry, England.1   Sarah's father was Amaziah John Green and her mother was Mary Ann Chapel.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Green and Betty Matthewman. She had four brothers and four sisters, named William, George, Henry, Thomas, Mary, Maria, Charlotte and Georgina.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 48 in 1868 in Redfern, NSW.2
