Georgina was born in 1827 and her christening took place on November 4th, 1827 in St Giles Anglican Church, Camberwell, Surry, England.1   Georgina's father was Amaziah John Green and her mother was Mary Ann Chapel.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Green and Betty Matthewman. She had four brothers and four sisters, named William, George, Henry, Thomas, Mary, Maria, Sarah and Charlotte.  She was the youngest of the nine children.
