Horatio Nickson Clayton

Horatio was born in 1858.

Horatio's father was Joseph Richard Clayton and his mother was Mary Ann(e) Hayes. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Clayton and Elizabeth Allmon. He had two brothers and nine sisters, named Joseph, John, Elizabeth, Emily, Julia, Alice, Frances, Mary, Ada, Edith and Louisa. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He had a half-brother named Joseph. He died at the age of 86 in 1944.

  NSW Birth Cert No. 8057/1877 states that, in 1877, Gertrude ASHWORTH was born in the Bathurst area. Her father's name was John W ASHWORTH and her mother's name was Elizabeth ASHWORTH.
