Hilda Beatrice Clayton

Hilda was born on January 11th, 1895 in Eton Street, Camperdown, NSW and her baptism took place on February 27th, 1895 in St Peters Anglican Church, Cooks River Road, St Peters, NSW conducted by minister E. Madgwick.¹

- NSW Birth Cert No. 5877/1895 states that, in 1895, Hilda B CLAYTON was born in the district of Newtown. Her father's name was Alfred E A CLAYTON and her mother's name was Mary B CLAYTON.
  Hilda was Christened on the same occasion as her elder sister, Jane.

Hilda's father was Alfred Ernest Australia Clayton and her mother was Mary Beatrice Brignull. Her paternal grandparents were James Clayton and Jane Raper. She had a brother and two sisters, named Alfred, Florence and Jane. She was the second youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 24 in 1919 in Newtown area, Sydney NSW.²
