Georgina Zara Clayton (Georgianna)

Georgina was born on May 28th, 1863 in Chelsea St, Surry Hills, Sydney.¹

Georgina's father was George Clayton and her mother was Sarah Bates. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Clayton and Elizabeth Allmon; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Bates and Ann Griffin. She had a brother and seven sisters, named Joseph, Lydia, Anne or Ann, Martha, Sarah, Julia, Polly and Ada. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She died due to heart disease, Charonic Myocarditis and Myocardial Degeneration, at the age of 75 on August 8th, 1938 in 154 Mitchell Rd, Alexandria, Sydney, NSW. The funeral took place on August 9th, 1938 and was arranged by J Hardy, employed by Mrs P Kirby and Sons Ltd. She was buried on August 9th, 1938 in Church of England Cemetery, Botany NSW.²²
