Florence's father was Alfred Ernest Australia Clayton and her mother was Mary Beatrice Brignull. Her paternal grandparents were James Clayton and Jane Raper. She had a brother and two sisters, named Alfred, Jane and Hilda. She was the oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 85 in 1975.¹

- NSW Death Cert No. 3651/1975 states that, in 1975, Florence Elsie WEEKLEY died. Her father's name was Alfred Ernest CLAYTON and her mother's name was Mary Beatrice CLAYTON.
