- NSW Birth Cert No. V1851594 37A/1851 states that in 1851 Elizabeth Ann CLAYTON was born to Joseph R CLAYTON and Mary A CLAYTON (nee Hayes).

Elizabeth's father was Joseph Richard Clayton and her mother was Mary Ann(e) Hayes. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Clayton and Elizabeth Allmon. She had three brothers and eight sisters, named Joseph, John, Horatio, Emily, Julia, Alice, Frances, Mary, Ada, Edith and Louisa. She was the oldest of the twelve children. She had a half-brother named Joseph. She died at the age of 68 on June 26th, 1919 in Sydney, NSW. The funeral took place on June 28th, 1919 in 7 Gilbert Park, Manly NSW and was arranged by T. WAUGH and CO., Funeral Directors. Tel., 42 92 Corso. Manly. She was buried on June 28th, 1919 in Manly Cemetery, NSW.²¹
