- NSW Birth Cert No. 31431/1892 states that, in 1892, John A F CARRS was born in the Robertson area of NSW. His father's name was John W CARRS and his mother's name was Emma CARRS (nee Stacey).

John's father was John Walker Carss and his mother was Emma Stacey. His maternal grandparents were John Stacey and Mary Ann Brophy. He had three brothers named William, George and David. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 2 in 1894 in Redfern, NSW.¹
